Cumulus Clients

by Canto

Canto offers a number of Web Solutions to allow for publishing, sharing, and editing of Cumulus catalogs from standard web browsers, online or off.

Cumulus Native Client

A standard component of all Cumulus systems, the Cumulus Native Client for Mac OS and Windows offers a feature-rich interface for the most interactive workflows available.

Drag & drop to add new assets to Cumulus, or to place cataloged assets into other applications. You can even tuck the entire Native Client interface into other applications using a convenient palette mode, which keeps your entire asset collection only a mouse gesture away.

High quality previews are available for hundreds of image formats, audio, video, PDF, PowerPoint and much more. Comments can be added over previews, and all comments are searchable, so it’s easy to find an asset based on comments it contains. Add text notes, define commenting regions using drawing tools, or both.

Cumulus Native Client

The Cumulus Native Client offers a wealth of workspace options that users can define, save and share. View modes include thumbnails, details, info and more.

The Native Client is what Cumulus administrators use to configure systems. It offers control of every aspect of Cumulus, from catalog creation, to user permissions settings, and more.

Cumulus Web Client

The Cumulus Web Client allows you to access your complete Cumulus catalog through the web.

Using standard Web browsers—with absolutely no plug-ins or extra software required—the Web Client enables users to upload new assets, download assets, edit asset metadata, create and edit categories, and more. Your entire asset collection is never more than a Web browser away when you need something, no matter where you are.

The Cumulus Web Client offers so much power, many users use it for everything. The image editor makes it easy to create variants of any preview.

The Web Client is modeled after the Native Client, so users don’t need additional training.

A few additional layers of security are present when Cumulus is accessed via the Web Client to ensure absolute catalog security. No digital asset management system offers better Internet security than Cumulus. Cumulus never makes original asset storage locations accessible over the Internet, so your assets are always safe.

Cumulus Cross Client

The Cumulus Cross Client enables users to work on a local version of their Cumulus catalog for offline work and remote synching.

Cross Client users can take copies of Cumulus Server catalogs on the road. Users can work with the catalogs anywhere, including editing metadata and adding new assets, even when no network connection is available. Once reconnected to a network, updates can be transferred back to the Cumulus Server catalog. Cumulus Server catalogs can also update local copies. Cross Client users can also create and manage personal catalogs not shared with other users.

The Cumulus Cross Client appears and functions identically to the Native Client, but it includes additional menu options for creating and opening local catalogs, and for updating remote catalogs with local metadata, or vice versa
