Canto US Roadshow Wrap Up
Last week saw the conclusion of the 2007 Cumulus Roadshow in North America. Spanning Seattle to Toronto, each show was a success and benefit to all who attended.
Attendees were greeted by Canto personnel and partners who offered presentations about all things new, and new things to come. Each show concluded with a Q&A period, which is always a great way for users to get their questions answered, but also valuable for Canto.
"This was a great way to get a sense of what users want from Cumulus and to listen to the questions they ask," says Canto Regional Sales Manager, Hector Medina. "Plus, it's so helpful to get users, Canto and our partners all in the same room."
Apparently, attending users left the shows on a positive note too. Medina says his Blackberry was "buzzing" with orders in the days following each event.

Canto's Hector Medina goes through early morning introductions in Chicago, while Carey DAM's Julie Riley and Gerry Siebel look on.
Some of the highlights of the shows included a trio of user presentations made at the Toronto event, hosted by Canto partner Otec Solutions. Employees of Harlequin Enterprises, the Hamilton Public Library, and Canada's Centre for Addiction & Mental Health (CAMH) each presented detailed accounts of how their Cumulus systems have benefited their operations.
"These user presentations were absolutely fantastic," says Canto presenter David Diamond. "It was clear these users had done their homework with regard to getting the most out of Cumulus. I wish all Cumulus users could have seen what we saw."
Despite a rainy Manhattan morning, a room full of New Yorkers made their way out to the Cumulus event, hosted by Canto partners Webistix and HCS. In Chicago, Canto was joined by partners Carey DAM and Renaissance Micro, each of whom had presentations that featured many of the custom Cumulus installations they've done over the years.
On the West Coast, partner Modula4 teamed up with Canto Sales Manager Juan Visperas for shows in Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Mac OS X Leopard Watch
Apple's OS X "Leopard" has been uncaged. To ensure Cumulus users experience no problems with the new OS, a Cumulus update is in the works. Until that update becomes available, Canto asks Mac OS X users to hold off on their upgrades.
