Canto News
Attendees at last month's Apple Expo in France were treated to a sneak peak at what many Cumulus users consider the Holy Grail of Cumulus integrations: the Cumulus/Adobe Creative Suite 3 integration product. This killer new product enables users of CS3 applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere, Dreamweaver and more, to directly access their Cumulus-cataloged assets—without ever needing to launch a separate software client! This product is a no-brainer for current Cumulus work groups that use any of the Adobe CS3 applications. (At last count, we estimated this at about 95% of all Cumulus installations!) The word from Canto CEO Ulrich Knocke is clear: "Never in Canto’s 17-year history has a product integration been requested by our users as often as this." And what about those users of BrandAssistant and QXP Companion—Canto's QuarkXPress integration tools? Well, this is good news for them too. People argue the merits of QuarkXPress vs. InDesign all the time, but you'll be hard pressed to find a QuarkXPress-based work group that doesn't also use one or more Creative Suite applications. Now, thanks to Canto, there truly is a "bridge" between these two worlds—and it's called Cumulus. Cumulus and Creative Suite: the drag & drop dynamic duo! Coming to your Cumulus Server this Winter.
Canto's marketing team knows two things for sure: 1. Customer referrals are a fantastic way to sell high-end products like Cumulus. This in mind, the Canto Customer Referral Program was launched last July as a means for Canto to reward customers who do, in deed, refer new customers to Canto. So far, many customers have taken advantage of the program, which offers as rewards:

The move to Cumulus 7.5.1 has been a great one, according to the many users we've heard from since the software's release last month. Cumulus 7.5.1 tightens up technologies introduced in 7.5, and even adds some welcomed polish to features introduced as far back as Cumulus 7.0. Canto has been successfully running its internal catalogs on Cumulus 7.5.1 since the software's late beta stages, and we couldn't imagine going back! And, though we always encourage customers to update to the latest and greatest we have to offer, we know that Cumulus is a mission critical application for most of our user base. You want the best we have to offer, but you need to consider stability first: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" We know you'll get around to updating to 7.5.1 when the time is right, but in the meantime, we've assembled a roadshow in North America coming in October. If you have specific questions or concerns about your 7.5.1, we encourage you to attend and as the Cumulus experts that will be on hand. Information on the roadshows is available in this month's eNews. (See "2007 Cumulus North American Roadshow") Come to the roadshow and get your questions answered, or cut right to the chase and: Get Cumulus 7.5.1 now! Cumulus + Quark Demoed at IFRA Expo Quark products experts CoDesCo IT Consulting will be in the Quark booth at this year's IFRA Expo demonstrating Canto's Cumulus/Quark integration product, QXP Companion. In addition to being a standalone product that can be added to current Cumulus Servers, QXP Companion also serves as the heart of Canto's BrandAssistant solution for brand management professionals. Come out and see this powerful integration demonstrated by Quark product experts who can answer all your questions and provide you with the sales support you need to make the most of your Canto and Quark products.
