Summary

The Canto Professional Services Application Consultant and Trainer will plan, advise, and provide consultative services to develop, implement and train on solutions with Cumulus, our leading Digital Asset Management System.

Tasks

Provide support to customers on how to install, operate and use Canto’s software products.

  • Perform installations, configurations, and troubleshooting of the Cumulus DAM solution
  • Gather, analyze, and document customer’s DAM and workflow requirements
  • Be proactive in providing outstanding design, deployment and configuration services resulting in outstanding customer satisfaction
  • Be prompt and provide high quality service to align with customer goals and requests
  • Manage project scope, schedule, status, and documentation
  • Manage multiple concurrent deployment projects
  • Understand business needs of our customers and recommends strategies on how to best use and deploy DAM within an organization
  • Communicate efficiently with customers and colleagues about projects and DAM requirements
  • Communicate effectively with users and customers

Identify, research and resolve technical problems encountered by customers

Reproduce reported errors on Canto’s test systems

  • Act as a liaison between Customers and Product Management to drive product development as well as issue escalation
  • Contribute to and use knowledge repository of deployment best practices and other customer ideas which can continually enhance Canto’s products and repeatability of service delivery

Pre-sales support to prospective customers as requested by U.S. sales team

  • Collaborate with the sales team on existing customers up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

Perform application training for customers

  • Provide on-site or virtual training to customers on Canto’s solutions
  • Develop standard training modules and videos as well as conduct custom trainings for hands-on customer experience

Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel

Education, Training and Certification:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline required.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Direct hands-on technical experience in a customer-facing role for on premise and cloud based solutions is a must
  • Expertise in Operating Systems such as Windows (Server 2008, Server2012), Apple (10.x) and Linux (Red Hat, SusE)
  • Strong project management tasks to coordinate customer meetings and workshops and ensure that project schedules and commitments are met
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – both internally (on multiple levels) and externally (with customers and partners)
  • Knowledge of Unix and Shell Scripting
  • Expertise with one of the following languages is a plus: Java, SQL, HTML/CSS, XML, Ajax, JavaScript, JSON
  • Direct hands-on technical experience in a customer-facing role a must
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – both internally (on multiple levels) and externally (with customers and partners)
  • Experience with java and web server technologies (Apache, Apache Tomcat), application security, infrastructure and architectures, Web Services (RESTful) etc.
  • Expertise with one of the following languages is a plus: Java, SQL, HTML/CSS, XML, Ajax, JavaScript, JSON
  • Strong working knowledge of networking concepts like SSH, DNS, Firewalls, web technologies, application security, infrastructure and architectures, Web Services etc.
  • Experience administering or implementing other software tools, such as CMS, CRM or eCommerce solutions is a plus
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
