New user-friendly features are inbound for Flight! We’re introducing a bold new update to our Settings interface, as well as a new Follow feature for the files you need to keep an eye on.
New Settings Interface Update
We’ve updated our Settings interface for a more user-friendly experience. They’re much easier for Pilots to navigate: simply click on the relevant icon.
Some of our most popular settings now have their own icons, including account information, individual portals, and configuration options like metadata and custom fields.
For the full details on the new Settings Interface, please visit our Settings Help Guide article.
Follow Files New Feature
For files that require your full attention, we’ve introduced the Follow feature.
- A user leaves a new comment on the file
- A new version of the file is uploaded
- Any information on the Information View page is modified
- The file is deleted
Additionally, followed albums will send a notification whenever a file is added or deleted from the album.
My Collections New Feature
Favorites are now enhanced with personal My Collections albums. Users can create their own personal albums with a collection of their favorite files.
To see your My Collection folders, click My Collections from your profile dropdown menu.
Recently Added Files New Feature
Quickly view all the recently added files to Flight. Clicking Recently Added at the bottom of any smartalbum screen will immediately show the 100 most-recently added files that have been uploaded to Flight. It’s an easy way to see all of the new files from all of the contributing users in your Flight tenant.
Real-time Branding Preview Update
We’ve made brand management even easier – click the Branding icon under Settings to preview your Flight page updates in real-time. Now you can test out and see different branding options, without having to reload the page or log out of your account.
Add Subfolders and Sub-albums to Portals Update
It’s now possible to add subfolders and sub-albums to portals. No longer will users only have to add top-level folders to a portal. Get more specific!
Keyboard Shortcuts Update
Need to quickly get out of the Information View screen or cancel multi-select for bulk editing? Just hit the “Escape” key and you’ll automatically go back to the main Flight page.
